Killarney race meeting.

With several categories still wide open as the season begins to wind down, the seventh round of Western Cape main circuit championship at Killarney on Saturday (August 4), promises to be a cracker.

And with motor racing one of the few sports that can actually benefit from inclement weather, the possibility of rain is not likely to deter many.

The 16 event programme is going to include events for the GTi Challenge, Mutlu / Execuline Classic Cars, Charl Engineering Fine Cars, Makita Supercars, Mike Hopkins Classic Bikes and Mike Hopkins Superbikes.

The final event is going to take the form of a 30 minute endurance race for motorcycles, with the added advantage of a rare Le Mans start.

The first event is due off at 09.50. Admission is R40 for adults and R10 for scholars under 16, but there is no charge for kiddies under 12.
